I heard on the radio this morning that a believer in England was arrested for "politely" sharing his belief that homosexuality was a sin. In England, it seems, religious beliefs no longer carry weight when compared to the "politically correct" affirmation of sexual lifestyle.
However, if one is honest, one must agree that exclusively homosexual activity must be deemed "unnatural" because it cannot sustain the species. If EVOLUTION has raised the human condition from the single-celled organism through the primates to the homo-sapians, then natural selection would long ago have removed homosexuality because it by actions cannot propagate
Therefore, as the world holds to its evolutionary code (in spite of recent scientific advances which prove it false), the logical conclusion must be that homosexuality comes from personal choices, and not from the strict, insurmountable dictates of genetics. However, when has the world be intellectually honest in its assessments?
A judge in England has recently ruled that religion is not reason to speak negatively toward homosexuality since religion is not science. Would that same argument be valid to silence someone speaking out about child molesters? One's value system does play a part in categorizing actions, however this has never been about debate, it is only about condoning inordinate affections.
Romans 1:26-27 ... for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with menworking that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet.
Col 3:5-7 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:In the which you also walked some time, when you lived in them.
The Bible states these "actions" are not irresistible, and are therefore behaviorally conquered. Psychology tells us that the pursuit of pleasure and affirmation make many return to "self destructive" situations. Identifying potential harmful situations is an initial step in living in freedom and safety.
The world is quickly moving to legitimize all sexual activity as natural. Logic states that it is unnatural. Those caught in the clutches of sexuality are not "evil" individuals, but they are participating in actions that do not lead to life only to more sensuality.
Pray for them and agape them even when our legal system states that "hate speech" forbids believers from speaking truth. The world's value system of evolution shows that homosexuality is about pleasure choices more that about nature. Christian values compel many to speak the truth in love, not to condemn but to offer hope. AMEN
