Into the Light

1 Peter 2:9  But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God's very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.

When light shows up on the scene, things which were not seen are revealed.  So it is with us as we display the light of God to this world.  When we are "on the scene" we bring with us the presence of God.  When we are confronted with the frustrations of this world do we bring into those situations the peace, calm, and love of God.  Are we allowing the Light within us to manifest Himself to others?  Are we walking in this world as a chosen people?  Unfortunately, more often than not - many of us act like the Darkness rather than the Light.  This season - may we remember to Light this world.  Blessings.

Not Thrown Into the Cold

Hebrews 13:5 Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

There is great comfort in knowing that we who believe in Jesus Christ will never be left or forsaken.  There is a saying - "To throw someone into the cold."  It means to put a person into a situation suddenly, a situation that is stressful and requires quick action.  And the indication is that they are in that situation by themselves - without help.  But we have not so been left by God.  Christ, Himself, took our deserved state of separation from God the Father.  We have now been reconciled in Christ - if we have indeed - accepted Him as our Savior and Lord.  Therefore, we have the assurance, that as a child of the Most High God, we will be treated well by a good Father who loves us.

New Beginnings

I am starting this blog as the contact for the book and for discussions regarding various topics.

I'm new at this so it may take awhile for me to work blogging into my schedule.
